Today is the kind of day that I’m grateful that my job takes me away from my office about half of the day. As fun as it is monkey punching the keyboard here on the blog and other “fun hangouts” in the virtual world, I prefer to meet and spend time with real people. I know, very very cutting edge.
One of my appointments today, in the Covenant Mobile as my wife affectionately calls my Ford Exploer, led me to a beautiful home in the Spring Creek subdivision of Dallas near Arapaho and Meandering Way. The home owners are a couple who will be moving away after building and living in their home for 42 years! I have to admit how struck I am by the charm of 1950′s and 60′s construction these little pocket neighborhoods of Dallas have to offer. Streets like Floyd and Meandering Way can take you on an adventure of well built timeless homes if you ever feel like ‘just driving’ in the Dallas/Richardson area.
This particular couple I visited with today has been married for 57 years! That is something to be praised and taken as an example for all of us young married folk. I could tell they enjoyed being together, it was impossible not to notice. Ladies and Gentlemen, those are the real heroes in this lifetime. I know their children are grateful to say the very least!
The House Candy for you in the picture for this article is that of a current listing in the neighborhood of similar construction to give you an idea.
